Sudden cardiac arrest is one of those unexpected moments we all hear about but never expect, until it happens to those we love, especially when it happens to children. According to the American Heart Association, approximately 475,000 people die from cardiac arrests every year and of those, 2,000 are children and adolescents between the ages of 5-19.
